Realize “patient centricity”, deliver added value solution to healthcare professionals, discover and develop new technologies, optimize healthcare systems - all of these are challenges difficult to deliver by a single group or a single individual.
i2.JP will create opportunities of collaboration with start-ups, healthcare professionals, and partners from the private sector, government and academia.
Toward the solution of specific healthcare issues, i2.JP will jointly promote “Think big (comprehension and verbalization of the big picture), start small (understanding and identification of pain points, development of MVP, promotion of PoC), learn and scale fast (learnings from mistakes, market-in and expansion strategy).”

i2.JP creates synergies between “4D (Diagnosis, Device, Digital, Drug) + E (Experience design)”for building future healthcare
i2.JP will focus on 4D, namely, Diagnosis, Device, Digital and Drug, as its technology fields and create solutions and services for patients and healthcare professionals.
In addition, we will focus on experience design to understand and recognize pain points and unmet needs of patients and healthcare professionals, from a market-in viewpoint.
We will deliver solutions and services which correspoding to patients and healthcare professionals with the shortest distance.

leveraging i2.JP
i2.JP is a member of 20+ AstraZeneca Healthcare Innovation Hubs across the world (A. Catalyst Network). These hubs promote open innovation in their local markets and build up networks. Sweden’s BioventureHub and China’s I-Campus have incubation facilities pushing forward start-up support jointly with their partners from government, the private sector and academia. Israel’s BeyondBio has formed strategic partnership with local medical institutions, providing an environment for start-ups to validate MVPs. AstraZeneca has accelerated opening of hubs both in the established markets and emerging markets in recent years, developing a global network. i2.JP will support both Japanese start-ups going international and overseas start-ups coming into Japan by leveraging collaborations with the healthcare innovation network.
